Current Projects
Go-Mission is leading humanitarian efforts that are improving the quality of life of the poor and under-served. We focus on areas of poverty and crisis with high rates of infant mortality, malnutrition, contaminated water supplies, and limited educational opportunity. Projects include but are not limited to:
Clean Water – We have completed multiple clean water projects, providing access to clean water where it was not available before.
Health - We adapted and translated a village health manual for health education in hygiene, pre-natal care, post-natal care, nutrition, and first aid. With teams of local doctors, we conduct health seminars to educate the people in these areas.
Nutrition – Along with nutritional education, Go-Mission provides goats and chickens for the people to raise, supplying both protein and a way to generate income for the families.
Agriculture – Go-Mission leads agricultural development projects that introduce new food sources and teach more modern farming methods to increase food production and combat malnutrition.
Education – Education is vital to lift any family out of poverty and provide hope for the future. Go-Mission sponsors children providing assistance for school fees, uniforms, school supplies, and events that promote the importance of education. Results – People have access to clean water. Poor families have food to eat. Economic benefits are coming from agricultural development projects. People are healthier as they have learned about nutrition and vital aspects of health care. Children are receiving an education and beginning to dream for the future.
A village leader said, “The history of our village is changing.” Another village leader told us, “Before you came, our people had no hope. Now our people have hope.”
We shall continue bringing hope in practical ways to empower the poor for a brighter future.
