Venezuela
Venezuela is a beautiful nation with a rich history but is now suffering a severe humanitarian and economic crises. The country is ravaged by corruption. The economy and basic human services are failing. Over nine million people are considered food insecure, representing one-third of the population. Human rights violations include over 20,000 extrajudicial killings and convictions without proper trials and representation. Nearly seven million people have left the country in a mass exodus.
William Quintero, a former drug addict who spent 18 years in prison, is reaching inmates through a vibrant prison outreach. Inmates receive only one very small meal a day. William provides nutritious food to supplement their diet and educational materials for inmates. He also provides hot meals for the hungry in cities and in the border region.
We are honored to partner with William Quintero in spreading hope in practical and life-changing ways to those suffering in Venezuela.
